Day 02: Discover the highlights of the Angkor Archaeological Park (B)

You will be picked up early in the morning around 7AM to go on a discovery tour of the famous Angkor Archaeological Park. You start by visiting the picturesque Ta Prohm, which has almost disappeared and overgrown by the jungle. The magnificent tree roots crawling over and swallowing the huge stone blocks of the temple will surely a sight to be remembered. But be prepared for even more mesmerizing sights at your next stop - Angkor Wat - the majestic world's largest religion monument and the jewel of all Angkor temples. Afterwards, continue on to explore the ancient royal capital city of Angkor Thom. Visit the Bayon temple with its hundreds of giant smiling stone faces peering at you, the Baphuon temple with its intricate carvings all around and the best view of Angkor Thom from the top. You will also stop by the Elephant Terraces , the Leper King's Terraces, and of course the Royal Palace. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 03: Exploring the remote temples of Angkor Archaeological Park (B)

Today you will visit some more remote Angkor temples. About 16 miles (25 km) from the main group of Angkor temples, Banteay Srei is a 10th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva and considered the birthplace of Khmer architecture. Not like other Angkor temples which impress with their grandeur, Banteay Srei is quite smaller but it draws admirations with its red sandstone walls and the strikingly intricate decorative carvings that are beautifully preserved. After visiting Banteay Srei, continue on to the ancient city of Hariharalaya, which flourished in the late 9th and early 10th centuries. All that remains today of the city are the ruins of several royal temples which are the oldest temples in the area. At the end of your temple tour, you will return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 04:  Siem Reap Departure (B)

Today you will be picked up at your hotel in Siem Reap and taken to the airport for your flight home. Alternatively, you can extend your trip and enjoy the beach for a few days on Cambodia's coast.
